JOB SUMMARY:

• A Licensed Nurse Practitioner supports the school staff/faculty in caring for the health requirements of the student population. Complying with the laws relating to student health, including parental and guardian consent; providing appropriate care of ill, medically fragile and/or injured students; providing health information and serving as a resource to parents, teachers, staff, and administrators; all under the direction of a registered nurse.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT

• Licensed Practical Nurse in state of Florida
• Secondary Certification
• 2 years’ experience in a caregiving role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Can follow directions exactly.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Excellent patient care skills.
• General knowledge of nursing and health care terminology.

Education and Experience:

• Current Florida licensure required.
• Postsecondary certificate from vocational school or associate degree in nursing required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• May require prolonged periods of standing, moving, and bending.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds at times.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

COMPENSATION:

• Pay for this position is based on experience.
