Underground Printing (UGP’s) Mission Statement is to help bring customer communities to life through custom branded apparel & merchandise.

Underground has experienced rapid growth, ranking in the Inc 5000 fastest growing companies 9 times, including 2019. We produce all of our printed apparel in our production facility in Michigan & with 172,000 SF of screen printing and embroidery production and over 250 employees. We consistently rank in the top 10 largest screen printers by volume in the U.S. and are one of the fastest growing online clothing retailers.

We serve both B2C and B2B customers such as non profits, retailers, and Universities through our 44 store and office locations across the United States. Additionally we help brands and licensors sell online both through company branded and marketplace websites.

This position will report in person at our headquarters office in Ypsilanti, Michigan, however, applicants must also be fine with being in a manufacturing/production environment. Experience in a high growth environment and manufacturing & service business is required.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Analyze various financial aspects of the business including pricing, cost reduction strategies, margin analysis and capex decision making
• Perform cost accounting for various business segments
• Perform competitor analysis and evaluate strengths and weaknesses
• Monthly financial reporting and in-depth analysis 
• B/S & P/L account reconciliation and cost tracking
• Participate in the annual budget process alongside the Director of Finance
• Provide robust reporting, commentary, and analysis to develop insights/ recommendations to leadership
• Support the team through the annual financial budget and quarterly sales forecasting process.
• Perform in-depth analysis identifying variances to budget/past performance in order to provide detailed commentary and recommendations to management.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Powerpoint (Google Sheets and Slides)
• Bachelors or Associates Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Strong analytical, financial management, and planning skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
