In this role, you will be responsible for design and development of data and cloud solutions, project delivery and oversight, and customer relationship building. You may manage project teams and advise clients on both strategic and tactical matters, focusing on how technology enables the federal mission. You will routinely work with solution delivery teams, guiding architecture of all the data solutions we build and deploy, providing feedback on deliverables, and providing solutions for business development and growth. Technology leadership requirements include experience with multi-cloud, data warehousing, application transformation, collaborating with agile teams, and data analytics. The Director, Data and Cloud Strategy reports to the Chief Technology Officer, and matrix reports to program directors for delivery programs as applicable.Responsibilities
  • Define and construct narrative describing data/cloud/analytics solutions to fulfill customer requirements, including target state architectures and roadmaps for delivery by collaborating the Chief Technology Officer, Chief Growth Officer and other internal and external experts to ensure alignment in visions, goals and objectives.
  • Own and drive development and maintenance of detailed solutions addressing delivery requirements and ensuring alignment in implementation, to include:
    • Fulfills all the contractual requirements specified in the Performance Work Statement, and that all services delivered meet 9th Way Insignia’s high standards of quality. 
    • Ensures all contractually required deliverables are prepared and undergo quality assurance reviews ahead of a timely submission. 
    • Develops the master integrated plan that combines all the individual project plans the service delivery teams are responsible for executing. Ensures the plans are communicated and agreed to with the customer and that the delivery teams have the staff and resources necessary to execute.
    • Serves as primary point of contact for delivery and contractual issues for the customer.
    • Coordinates with corporate Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure delivery teams are utilizing the standard processes, forms, templates for internal support requests, deliverables required at the top contract level, Task Order (TO) financial tracking and forecasting, and corporate progress and status reporting.
    • Manages all direct labor costs associated with the contract and ensures the incurred costs remain within budget.
  • Identify solution alternatives and/or new technologies to meet new business needs or tackle existing business concerns, such as customer experience, operational efficiency, performance and cost effectiveness.
  • Participate in pre-deployment, deployment and post-deployment activities to ensure successful deployment.
Requirements
  • Experience working with multiple IT solutions with clients in federal government.
  • Demonstrable and practical experience in the data and Analytics domain including but not limited to: data Strategy, Business Intelligence and Analytics, Data Management, Data Modelling, Data Quality, Data Governance, data warehousing.
  • Experience designing and delivering solutions on cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS or Azure and providing guidance around migrating data from traditional data warehouse environments.
  • Experience with data prep and extracting information from a wide variety of sources including quantitative, qualitative and big data sources.
  • Experience within a well-regarded management consultancy in a strategy project delivery capacity.
  • Experience in a problem-solving capacity such as a solution/technical architect or analyst preferred.
  • A consistent track record of leading people and building high-performing teams that leverage technology to drive the mission-critical priorities of commercial or government entities.
  • An ability to inspire and motivate professionals from both technical and non-technical backgrounds towards a common goal.
  • An unwavering commitment to the success of your team, and willingness to provide constructive/ corrective action when needed.
  • An ability to be hands-on and to manage multiple client priorities simultaneously.
  • Coachable and embracing of best practices and feedback as a means of continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline, an additional 8 years of experience considered in lieu of degree. 
  • 15 years of experience managing technical projects, including one year of Program Management experience.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong communication skills to present recommendations and provide training. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance. 
  • Salary Range: 
The salary range for this position is $100k to $200k
