Job: Operating Controller.
Summary:
The Operations Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our company's operations. This includes developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting. The Operations Controller will manage a team of finance professionals, and work closely with other departments to drive financial performance and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, as well as experience in operations management.
Job Description:
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting.
  • Oversee inventory internal control and valuation review and testing to ensure the accuracy and completeness of inventory records.
  • Organize landed cost tracking and analysis to support timely and accurate costing of goods sold.
  • Provide financial analysis and enhance internal control on loss prevention to minimize financial risks and losses.
  • Support the logistic team on freight cost analysis to optimize shipping costs.
  • Manage warehouse cost reporting and control to ensure cost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee manufacturing costing, variance analysis, and related reporting to ensure accurate costing of products.
  • Lead operating cost budgeting, dynamic forecasting, and performance review to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support operating cost-saving projects with financial analysis and process optimization to identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other departments, including logistics, manufacturing, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize business processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualification:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management is required; A Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a focus on retail consumer goods trading, manufacturing, or logistics.
  • Advanced in Excel and Database are required; SAP experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with activity-based costing, process management, and financial systems such as ERP and financial planning software.
  • Proven track record of driving financial performance and operational improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data, identify and mitigate financial risks, and improve internal controls.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin is a plus.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Compensation:
The pay range for this job is between $140,000 and $180,000 per year. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) the responsibilities of the job, your education, skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
