The Payroll Tax Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the entire payroll tax operations of LBMC Employment Partners, LLC. This includes internal federal, state and local payroll tax processing for all of our payroll clients. The position ensures payroll tax staff provide superior customer service to our clients in the administration of their payroll tax needs. This position is a member of the management team and works closely with other department leaders to improve processes, resolve problems, and ensure client satisfaction.
Supervises the payroll tax team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred; a minimum of five (5) years payroll tax management experience; payroll certification is preferred; CPA designation is desired but not required; and/or equivalent education or experience in job related activities is required. UKG and Mastertax experience is helpful.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position is in an office setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions. Position is subject to overtime.
