Overview:

80 Acres Climate Justice Cooperative School is seeking a dynamic, experienced Assistant Principal with a strong background in school operations, academic leadership, and teacher support. This leadership role is central to our mission of providing high-quality, environmentally focused education. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader who can effectively manage school operations, drive academic excellence, and support our dedicated teaching staff, all within the framework of our commitment to climate justice and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Academic Leadership: Oversee the school's academic programs, ensuring they align with our mission of environmental stewardship. Lead curriculum development efforts, incorporating innovative approaches to learning that emphasize climate justice.
  • Operations Management: Supervise daily school operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and facility management, ensuring a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment.
  • Teacher Support and Development: Develop and implement professional development programs tailored to our teachers' needs, focusing on enhancing instructional skills and integrating environmental education into various subjects.
  • Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between the school and the wider community, including parents, local organizations, and environmental groups, to build partnerships that support our educational and environmental missions.
  • Student Support Services: Oversee student support services, ensuring that all students have the resources and support they need to succeed academically and personally.
