The client is seeking candidates for a full-time position as a Teacher of Science, set to commence in August 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Instructing four courses within the Science curriculum, encompassing Chemistry and Physics in Upper School, along with at least one Middle School science section.
- Demonstrating competence in inclusive, anti-bias, anti-racist pedagogy.
- Active participation in grade-level team planning meetings with Science colleagues.
- Contribution to the school's community and student life beyond the department.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold a bachelor's degree in the subject area, with a preference for candidates with advanced degrees.
- Bring experience in teaching at the middle and/or high school levels.
- Possess an understanding of teaching both conceptual and quantitative physics and chemistry.
- Showcase strong communication skills.
- Express a desire to work collaboratively and engage in consultation.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the education of girls.
- Understand the varying needs of students across different levels of intellectual and social development.
Qualifications
