This role is perfect for a professional with entry-level estimating and plan reading skills who is looking to grow into a Preconstruction Manager position. The responsibilities include assisting in pre-construction activities, creating detailed proposals, and generating construction estimates.
The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and have a knack for numbers and drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project plans and specifications.
- Attend pre-proposal and jobsite visits.
- Solicit subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare quantity takeoffs and review proposals.
- Generate and revise detailed estimates.
- Utilize construction software tools.
- Continuously learn about building systems and materials.
- Collaborate with the project team and engage with clients.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Understanding of project plans and specifications.
- Familiarity with building components and construction processes.
- Proficiency in construction software platforms.
- Positive attitude and professionalism.
Requirements:
- Integrity, motivation, leadership skills, and a drive to learn.
- Background in Commercial Building Construction.
