Guest Services Agent (Palm Springs)
We are currently looking for an evening Full Time Guest Services Agent to join our team. We are a well established, Mid Century Boutique Hotel in Palm Springs looking for a positive, upbeat individual who can deliver total guest satisfaction.
As a Guest Services Agent, you will be responsible for providing the highest level of service possible in an efficient, courteous and professional manner. The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience during their stay at the resort. This person is also responsible for responding to guest calls or inquiries about room reservations, to provide information and reserve rooms for guests coming to the resort. The Guest Services Agent will continue the arrival experience by ensuring clear communication with guests, obtaining all necessary information and providing the guest a room that meets their expectations. Agents will be well versed in promotions, events, pricing, and sales strategy to meet the guest's request. This position does represent the company in handling complaints, arbitrating disputes or resolving grievances, as a Guest Services Agent you will be expected to work with guests and visitors to ensure satisfaction. A Guest Services Agent will have to take initiative and get creative in resolving guest challenges and involve a supervisor only when previous methods have been unsuccessful.
The minimum qualifications for this position are: Previous guest service experience preferred. High school degree or equivalent Proficiency in the English language, including: written, oral, reading, spelling and grammar. Bi-lingual skills beneficial, but not required. Strong communication, organization, problem solving, detail and telephone skills. Working knowledge of common computer programs and systems. RoomMaster a plus. Effectively manages time and is proactive in completion of tasks. Able to project a professional, friendly and courteous image to guests and patrons. Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner. Able to successfully work independently and as part of a team. Must have the ability to work most evenings, nights, and weekends. Most Weekends and Holidays are mandatory.
