About these Opportunities: 7-Eleven Inc. has several opportunities for 2024 Summer Internships. Each internship opportunity will occur during the summer months, (10-12 weeks), focused on a specific functional area, and will provide the candidate with a depth experience within the area, culminating in a project presentation to functional leaders. Each intern will work closely with a coach who will meet regularly to discuss project progress, provide direction and ongoing feedback. In addition, each intern will attend a lunch series which will provide a cross-functional view into the organization and give the interns exposure to senior leadership. The interns will also have the experience of touring a store and learning about our distribution systems.

Within 7-Eleven’s Strategic Sourcing department, the intern will participate in a wide variety of projects and activities that support the department’s cost leadership and vendor management functions:

• Sourcing Events- support RFP processes in any of the following areas IT, Equipment, Facilities, or Fresh Foods/Private Brands
• Vendor and Project Management- support new vendor implementation with critical business conversions
• Cost Savings/Direct Negotiations- identifying and analyze commodities for potential savings, conduct direct negotiations, and contract support/implementation

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain management, procurement, business, logistics, mathematics, or other related area of study with an expected graduation date by summer of 2025.
• Experience with MS Office suite, including Work, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge and experience of forecasting, supply chain, logistics, vendor management, contract negotiations processes.
• Ability to work full-time during summer internship period.
• Strong attention to detail, outstanding analytical abilities, excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• High-energy, self-motivated team player with the ability to multitask and work independently.
