5TA US Quintiles Laboratories is Hiring an Associate Scientist, Assay Development - R&D Near Austin, TX

We are seeking an Associate Scientist, Assay Development – R&Dto join Q² Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business in Austin, TX.

As an Associate Scientist, Assay Development – R&D, you will be responsible for assisting with experimental execution in support of assay/method development programs.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Executing of experimental tasks as assigned by senior level staff to include assay validation and development execution under close supervision.
  • Organizing of the lab environment.
  • Monitoring inventory and identifying needs for experiments.
  • Maintaining laboratory documentation under applicable regulatory standards and good documentation practices.
  • Ensuring quality and timely delivery to clients.
  • Responsible for the production of quality data and documentation in adherence to timelines in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Following all appropriate lab and company procedures and policies.
  • Performing work in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific discipline. 
  • 1 year of related experience in method or assay development or specific methodology area. 
  • Requires knowledge of lab principles, terminology, and instrumentation. 
  • Or other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:

  • Knowledge of Assay Development, ELISA, sample handling, preparation, and pipetting skills. 
  • Communicates effectively with supervisor and colleagues. 
  • Good computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. 
  • Ability to work closely with other members of the laboratory and maintain effective working relationships.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $50,800.00 - $76,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
