We are seeking an Associate Director, Global Anatomic Pathology to join Q² Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business in Valencia, CA.

As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for managing a team of laboratory staff within a large department or several related departments, contributing to the establishment of departmental strategy, and driving the achievement of objectives for the annual success of lab operations.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Managing and directing the daily activities of assigned laboratory work group(s) through appropriate delegation, technical skills training, and work supervision.
• Screening and assigning workload, planning, prioritizing, and assigning tasks and projects.
• Partnering with leadership to develop performance standards.
• Hiring, training, performance management, and development of staff.
• Identifying and driving opportunities for cost savings and driving revenue.
• Serving as an escalation point to drive resolution of challenges in operations, quality, safety, supply chain efficiencies across multiple departments.
• Ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, collaborating with QA and EHS to ensure enhancements are implemented to support operational capacity.
• Driving CAPA closure and resolution, quality compliance and metrics, oversight of quality incidents and resolution, root cause analysis and improvements.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a BSc in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology or cytotechnology.
• 8 years experience in a regulated environment.
• 5 years line management experience.
• Practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics within one department or multiple related departments.

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:

• Strong technical understanding of operations and methods.
• Strong knowledge of study set up and cross functional/system dependencies.
• In-depth knowledge of clinical testing procedures and applicable laboratory testing regulations.
• Working knowledge of quality assurance and quality control principles and in-depth knowledge of company-specific program requirements.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $125,100.00 - $232,300.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
