Summary The primary responsibility of this position is to support the Graphical User Interface (GUI) products as a Product Owner. Job duties include design, development, deployment, integration, and support of the product into a multitude of fighter aircraft, helicopter, and UAV applications. A proven leader who can take product ownership of the GUI product by serving in an organization transitioning from a waterfall software development process to a SAFe Agile software development process and helping to drive the future roadmap of the GUI product. Candidate should be highly adaptable with very strong analysis, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills with the ability to design the software and advance the product while adhering to customer requirements. Act as the Product Owner of the GUI products, to include contributing to the vision and roadmap development, team backlog management and prioritization, apply sound engineering principles with a customer centric mindset to solutions, demonstrate leadership by supporting the team in delivering value and mentorship, and obtaining/sharing feedback with the appropriate stakeholders. Define, development and integration of GUI products. Provide technical domain expertise and make recommendations to improve the product, to include Basis of Estimates for proposals. Familiarity with tracking budget and schedule. Work independently to complete assigned tasks and meet schedule commitments Qualifications and Education Requirements Candidate must possess a BS in Computer Science or related engineering discipline Senior Software Engineering professional with 10 years of prior Software development experience using Object Oriented Design and a variety of GUI frameworks (i.e., Qt Framework (Qt 4.8 ), GLStudio, and Microsoft Foundation Classes) The understanding of implementing functional requirements for computer software Software languages: C/C , C#. Experience in Ada, FORTRAN, Perl, Python and UML or the ability to quickly pick up legacy languages is a plus Experience in Database Systems and 2D and 3D graphics programming including OpenGL a plus Experience in Windows 10 & Linux General understanding of computer networking communications Excellent communication skills including oral, written, interpersonal, and listening Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented development environment and possess a willingness to take ownership, accept accountability, and thrive under pressure Ability to provide and receive constructive criticism. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support level employees. Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills Flexibility to support occasional overtime, weekend work, shift work and site travel (CONUS) General computer skills including use of Microsoft Office products Active DoD Secret Clearance within a six-year investigation period, and/or ability to obtain and maintain one is required Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role. Preferred Skills Familiar with GUI design principals and standards Experience developing graphical maps and plots in 2D and 3D. Experience with geospatial display software. Knowledge of different testing methodologies (e.g., White/Gray/Black box testing) Configuration Management and Collaboration tools such as Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) and GitHub General understanding of operating system concepts – multi-threading, events, semaphores, memory management, and system configuration JSON, DDS experience Defense Industry or Military Experience a plus SAFe Agile Experience a plus Security Responsibilities Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.
