THE ROLE The Project Manager is to perform the duties and responsibilities provided below in accordance with Ambipar’s standard operating procedures and performance objectives, while adhering to the applicable health and safety regulations, and professional codes of conduct. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Knowing and practicing the company HSE policy. Complying with policy, rules, standards, procedures, and practices. Correcting hazards as soon as they are observed. Immediately reporting to Supervisory personnel all accidents, incidents, injuries, and illnesses. Using equipment and tools (including rentals) as per manufacturer’s specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Knowing the location, type and operation of emergency equipment and being familiar with site-specific emergency procedures. Refusing to perform work that poses an imminent danger and/or refusing to perform work they are not qualified to perform. Participating in workplace inspections and monthly office safety inspections to be forwarded to the HSE Manager. Consulting Revenue generation Meet invoice timelines semi-monthly and ensure invoice accuracy. Manage projections and invoicing with a goal to meet and/or exceed projections with invoicing actuals on a semi-monthly basis. Establish cost estimates for projects. Create Scopes of Work in accordance with Ridgeline standards. Maintain Client Specific Data Sheet. Initiate project by creating job with accounting and internal database and client database if required. Assign projects to ECs; Routinely communicate the progress of assigned projects with General Manager. Review and interpret laboratory analytical results, tracking sites that have justifications, risk assessments and tier 2, with Subject Matter Experts prior to report initiation. Ensure all field work has been documented and uploaded to site specific files on internal and client databases by the assigned EC, including safety documentation. Accurately track and manage project costs and reporting process (in conjunction with the Subject Matter Experts); meet required turnaround from the end of the field work. Provide monthly updates on projected targets and actual costs to the General Manager. Complete monthly projections for current accounts/projects and forward to Billings and the applicable General Manager. Prepare and review all billable work to be invoiced; work with accounting to complete final invoicing. Remain current with environmental legislation and regulatory updates, provide updated information as it becomes available to staff. Submit resource requests for scheduling on a weekly basis. Provide opportunities for mentorship, training, and development of ECs. Regularly completes training of Environmental Consultants by signing off accrued competencies, as well as training forms as directed by Subject Matter Experts. Complete progress and performance reviews with Environmental Consultants. Maintain a 100% billable target excluding approved non-billable time. Ensure all time, expense and approval entries are submitted/approved within 24 hours of date of occurrence. Review completed reports for accuracy and formatting in conjunction with Reporting. Manager to ensure there is a competent Environmental Consultant to complete this task. Provide Ridgeline and clients with a high quality of work while maintaining professional ethics. Follows the requirements of the quality review program, and addresses any corrective actions in a timely manner. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Land reclamation, Agrology or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of relevant field experience in a project management role Professional designation is required. HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ENVIRONMENTAL (HSE) REQUIREMENTS Reviewing and adhering to the company HSE policies and procedures as directed by the HSE Manager. Gross margin target minimum 50% tracked monthly. Consulting revenue generation goals tracker monthly. Replicon – daily time and expense entry. Professional development - increasing competency.
