We are looking to hire an energetic and responsible warehouse associate for a facility in Lenexa, KS. The successful hire will be responsible for receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
Duties include:
• Loading, unloading, sorting, and staging inbound trucks and containers both manually and with power industrial trucks in a safe manner.
• Transporting products, accurately pulling/preparing orders for processing of shipments and returns to include accepting return authorizations (RA).
• Preparing supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes. Reorganizing pallets racking systems as required and organizing stock by size, type, style, and color or product code.
• Regularly lifting and/or moving objects 30-50lbs, occasionally move objects 50-100 lbs. using a pallet truck.
• Keeping up with the maintenance of warehouse equipment. Assisting in repairs and warranty issues.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat by sweeping, dusting, and mopping as needed. Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness.
• Safely operate all warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, stock pickers, claim trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Wear all proper safety equipment (PPE).
Requirements
• Regularly lifting and/or moving objects 30-50lbs, occasionally move objects 50-100 lbs. using a pallet truck.
• Ability to communicate with customers, sales personnel, and internal staff.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education or military experience.
• 1-2 yrs. previous warehouse experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass forklift and picker certification
• Previous forklift experience preferred but not required.
• Some computer knowledge preferred.
