We are rural behavioral health specialists integrated in the physical and behavioral health well-being for our staff and consumers. Position Summary:

To coordinate all services and maintain appropriate insurance authorizations for clients impacted by mental health issues which has resulted in a DSM-IV/DSM-V diagnosis and are targeted for mental health services by the Division of Mental Health. This position tracks and assists clients as they progress through a continuum of care services based on their needs and situation. The Authorization Specialist must exercise tact and judgment and confidentiality at all times and ensure that actions comply with the best professional and ethical standards. This work is broad in scope and requires the application of complex and technical practices and procedure.

Starting and growing base wage opportunities up to $20.25/hour!!

• Four-day (32 hour) work week
• Eligible for $150/month ($1,800 annually) in student loan repayment, available at hire
• Earn $750 for every person you refer who is hired and remains employed for 6 months and receive an additional $500 every year as long as you both remain employed
• Bilingual wage premiums available for individuals fluent in Spanish or Burmese

Qualifications

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor degree preferred but not required. A High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

• Service Authorization Technician must have at least one (1) year of work experience in medical registration or revenue cycle operations preferably with experience within a Community Mental Health Center.

Necessary Skills:

• Works well under supervision as well as independently.
• Able to handle stressful situations while maintaining a calm composure and conduct.
• Ability to think critically and analyze information/situations for most appropriate response.
• Model professionalism, teamwork, communication and efficiency.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all client data and personal information.
