4BBCORP is Hiring a Mental Health Specialist (Per Diem) Near Fort Lauderdale, FL

We are seeking a Peer Specialist to join our team! You will provide recovery-oriented rehabilitation services in group or individual settings.

  • Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary.
  • Assists in examination and coordination of patient schedules.
  • Assists in providing a safe and protected environment for patients and staff.
  • Checks and records patient's vital signs; monitors the behavior of patients and records pertinent behavioral progress in medical records.
  • Maintains patient records as required for the area of assignment.
  • Prepares reports and other documents as required, using computer-based applications.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and related information as regulated under public health laws, standards, federal confidentiality laws and state regulations.
  • Accompanies patients to and from clinics and hospitals and recreation therapy activities; assists patients to build formal and informal support networks.
  • Assists in the triage of patients; assists with the program admission and discharge process; conducts periodic rounds of patient areas.
  • Facilitates or co- facilitates educational groups or group activities; monitors dining room during patient meal times.
  • Participates in change of shift reports.
  • Performs patient personal possession searches.
  • Performs supervised case management activities.

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience working with substance abuse/mental health population providing support services.
  • Valid FL Driver's license
  • May require Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CPRS) certification, depending upon area of assignment.

Pay: $19.21 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
