Associate Product Line Manager

The Associate Product Line Manager will be responsible for helping the assigned Product Line Managers in building brand, retail and league-right, consumer relevant and sustainably profitable ranges as well as owning their own projects.

Category Management

  • Create Seasonal Strategy for appropriate projects in collaboration with Design, Development, Sourcing, Brand Managers and Sales leaders
  • Ensure all league-specific projects are planned on a seasonal basis.
  • Present Product Line to Accounts and Sales Meetings

Product Line Management

  • Meet with Design and Development Teams on a consistent basis to review boards, prototypes, final protos, pricing, etc.
  • Manage the follow up on all line creation/collection needs
  • Acquire the necessary consumer and market research to guide product line decisions
  • Monitor category progress, timeline & consumer/retailer response
  • Maintain up-to-date competitive analysis for appropriate categories
  • Maintain appropriate systems for specific categories

Financial Management

  • Sales & Margin
  • SKU & Style Count
  • Forecasting

Item Setup

  • Ensure that all items are created in GBS prior to communicating programs
  • Make sure styles are able to be ordered in GBS and Blue Cherry
  • Communicate effectively with Creative, Marketing and Photography departments
  • Monitor that pricing is correct in system for all new styles created

Product Ordering Process

  • Pre-order all products per direction of Sales/PLM
  • Submit products to licensing and oversee the process to ensure timely execution
  • Place Overseas Orders after obtaining approvals with licensing and purchasing approval

Program Communication & Analysis

  • Work with photography to obtain and upload all image requests
  • Prepare and distribute Boards and Sell Sheets as directed
  • Analyze the overall success of the program

Brandboom/ B2B Management

  • Manage drop programs to ensure correct amount of inventory is available to customers
  • Review that all styles are “ready to order” so it can upload to B2B
  • Maintain pricing in GBS so it populates into BC and B2B

Meeting Prep:

  • Set-up for Account/League/Sales Meetings:
  • Samples, Line Lists, Postmortems, Power Points

Miscellaneous:

  • Manage SMU Tracking Document for assigned categories
  • Catalog Management for assigned categories
  • Maintain up-to-date competitive analysis all for assigned categories
  • Work with Brand Initiatives PLM to service all Marketing Department sample needs

*Other Duties and Responsibilities as directed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to think strategically while also executing details
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and collaboration skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Some travel required
