Position Purpose:
Operate CNC machine process for the Controls Business Unit. Provide support and training to other Machine Operators. Act as a subject matter expert on machining process; use knowledge to program and troubleshoot CNC machine as needed.
Essential Functions:
1.Maintain and operate CNC machining center.
2.Schedule and perform preventive and predictive maintenance, as needed.
3.Aid in development and implementation of standard work instructions, 5S, TPM and continuous improvement activities
4.Ability to interpret and create blueprints.
5.Conduct required Quality Control checks using basic measurement equipment or CMM, as needed.
6.Participate in team driven problem solving, related to machined components.
7.Assist in the development of new machining and quality processes, related to new products and/or capital projects.
8.Accurately report daily activities on Work Orders, Kan Ban cards, and other media as required.
9.Exercise safe working habits while operating machines.
10.Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager.
Education and Training
·High School Diploma / GED Required.
·Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in the machining field; associates degree or Journeyman card in related field is highly desirable.
Minimum Qualifications
·Mechanical aptitude with a demonstrated ability to work in a production environment.
·Ability to perform quality checks using calibrated digital micrometers, Vernier calipers and go/no go gauges to ensure product is within tolerance.
·CMM experience is a plus.
·Robotic and/or PLC programming experience a plus
·Electrical maintenance background desired
·Able to read and understand blueprints and geometric tolerances.
·Previous machining experience in a manufacturing environment is a must, CNC operations desirable.
·Must be able to meet production standards and follow instructions.
·Ability to follow operation procedures and assess problems and recommend solutions to resolve problems.
·Ability to function as an effective team member.
·Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
·Must be able to read and comprehend sufficiently as well as write legibly.

·Ability to travel (equipment runoff)
