The My Place Hotel in Lubbock is looking for a Housekeeping Lead to oversee our housekeeping team and ensure our standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are upheld. Prior housekeeping lead experience is a must!

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all rooms and common areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Assign daily tasks and areas of responsibility to housekeeping staff, monitoring performance and providing guidance as needed.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are used efficiently and maintained in good condition.
• Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning protocols, the use of cleaning chemicals, and the operation of equipment.
• Handle guest complaints regarding housekeeping service and take immediate action to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with the front desk and maintenance departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Prepare and maintain records of room occupancy, cleaning schedules, and other relevant documentation.
• Implement and maintain a lost and found procedure.
• Participate in the recruitment and performance evaluation of housekeeping staff.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a housekeeping lead/supervisor in a hotel or similar environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and chemical handling.
• High attention to detail and pride in providing excellent service.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further training in hospitality or facility management is a plus.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
