2ndWave LLC (2ndWave)isseeking a recent graduate for an entry-level Accounting Technician position. This position offers significant opportunities to expand your knowledge and experience in accounting operations and federal consulting and gain professional experience working with an experienced team.Candidates should have outstanding problem-solving skills, be detail oriented, and be able to work effectively with minimal oversight. Ideal candidates will have exposure to accounting systems or accounting software, be eager to learn and expand their skills and be willing to take on new responsibilities as the company continues to grow.

Responsibilities:

• Customer service/client facing responsibilities, including the monitoring and collection of information.
• Create and maintain periodic financial status reports.
• Review documentation and calculate fee payments associated with filings.
• Recalculate payments associated with filings.
• Determine the accuracy of payments and documentation of filings.
• Perform a secondary review and calculation of fee payments when necessary.
• Ad-hoc reporting and analysis

Qualifications:

• BS or BA in accounting or finance.
• 0-2 years of work experience.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• College internship experience preferred.
