SUMMARY:

2K QA Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada is looking for a User Research Lab Administrator. We are expanding our capabilities with the addition of our innovative User Research Lab. 2K is dedicated to enhancing the gaming experience by deeply understanding player interactions and feedback. Our team is passionate about creating engaging and immersive gaming experiences.

As a User Research Lab Administrator, you will play a meaningful role in the operational success of our internal user research lab. This position requires a highly organized, computer-savvy professional who excels in communication and has an outstanding attention to detail. You will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, purchasing, controlling, quality and inventory control associated with the lab ensuring that all aspects of playtesting are implemented flawlessly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the lab, including equipment setup, maintenance, and inventory management. 

• Coordinate and communicate scheduling of lab usage and other events
  Collaborate with User Research teams across other studios to synchronize methodologies and share standard processes.
  Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards during all testing phases. Ensure equipment security compliance.

• Assist with the development and implementation of user research methodologies and tools. 

• Provide technical support for both hardware and software used in the lab, addressing junior administrative IT functions. 

• Coordinate hardware logistics, including procurement, setup, and troubleshooting of lab equipment.

• Handle facilities requests, ensuring the lab environment is conducive to effective user testing and meets all safety and operational standards. 

• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on lab activities, findings, and recommendations for continuous improvement. 

• Facilitate communication between the user research team and other departments within the company. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrable experience in a leadership or similar role, preferably in a gaming or tech-focused environment.

• Technical proficiency with computer systems, network management, and software. 

• Excellent organizational and project management skills. 

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. 

• Experience in user research, particularly within the gaming industry, is highly desirable.
