Description
- 100% ownership and management of the portfolio of properties assigned
- Ensures all assigned financial reports are prepared in a timely and materially accurate manner.
- Work with onsite property management team to support operations from an accounting perspective.
- Performing general ledger accounting and bank statement reconciliation
- Prepares and presents journal entries, financial statements, and related reports including but not limited to balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis
- Assisting the accounting group to perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent in business, accounting, or related field.
- 1 to 3 years of proven and relevant experience as a property accountant within the real estate industry.
- Working knowledge of regulatory standards (GAAP)
- Working knowledge of financial reporting and financial analysis.
- Ability to work with all levels of management.
- Thorough understanding of general ledger transactions and the ability to work through complex accounting treatments
- Ability to review financials to analytically identify and resolve misstatements
- Ability to understand and interpret property management agreements
- Requires little to no supervision in order to complete required tasks
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Business acumen skills
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Yardi,Entrata andMicrosoft Excel.
