Our client, is a fashion / shoe brand looking for an Assistant Product Developer to join their team!

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for collaborating in commercialization process from proto sample approval through to delivery for all footwear categories.
• Set up samples, participate in fit and milestone meetings.
• Manage the sample and production deadlines through follow up with the vendors. Validate we are meeting all deliverables such PP samples, AD sample and handover to appropriate teams.
• Review all samples with PD & Production lead to flag any concerns on quality, execution and upload to PLM.
• Support with input of data information in systems such as PLM with style creation, BOMs updates and release Tech packs to vendors as necessary.
• Input fit, materials and aesthetic comments into the Tech packs and relay to vendors.
• Validate design WIP against shared assortment tools for accurate style details.
• Request material content and import forms.
• Communicate daily with overseas vendors to track all product and sample milestones.
• Request and track all P1 / P2 and PPs samples along with advertising samples and TOP samples through follow up with vendors to make sure we are meeting our expected in-house date.
• Receive packages to check-in, track, and distribute different stage samples and submits for the PD & Production team to review and pass off to studio.
• Maintain an organized WIP for samples with shipping tracking chart
• Monitor pre-production schedule at all time and action calendars including delivery dates.

Required Skills :

• 1-3 years’ experience in footwear PD and / or production, or relevant comparable experience
• Proficient in EXEL and PLM systems
• Must be able to multi-task / ability to react to change in a fast-paced environment with the ability to follow through on tasks assigned to you.
• Must have a sense of urgency and strong organizational skills.
• A keen eye for product with the ability to review samples to ensure product meets BOM & visual expectations.
• Works well with a team and can positively collaborate with all cross functional partners.
• Ability to manage multiple 3rd party vendors.
