LOCATION:
The incumbent in this position will report to and work out of one of our school campus locations - West Chester (Eastern PA).

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the supervision of the Director of Student Services, the Supervisor of Student Services at 21st Century Cyber Charter School (21CCCS) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the holistic well-being and academic success of students. This position oversees various aspects of student services, including school counseling, college and career readiness, health services, Section 504, student orientation and more. The Supervisor of Student Services collaborates with school staff, students and families to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of all students.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review and update local student services policies, regulations, guidelines and procedures as needed.
  • Work with principals and other school personnel to promote the goals and outcomes of the student services program.
  • Maintain collaborative liaison with state and local agencies and organizations, both public and private.
  • Plan and allocate, in collaboration with the Director of Students Services and/or administrators, professional and support staff resources needed to accommodate student services
  • Work with the Director of Student Services in the allocation of funding for student services.
  • Represent 21CCCS on task forces and committees, as assigned.
  • Plan and deliver student services-related professional development.
School Counseling Department
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the school counseling department, ensuring that school counselors are equipped to support students' academic, social, emotional and career development.
  • Ensure compliance with Chapter 339 and Act 158 Graduation Pathways.
  • Develop and promote programs and initiatives to prepare students for post-secondary education and the workforce after graduation.
  • Develop comprehensive guidance plans that address the academic, career and personal/social needs of students.
  • Facilitate dual enrollment programs, enabling students to earn college credits while still in high school.
  • Collaborate with Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs throughout the Commonwealth to provide students with opportunities for career exploration and skill development.
School Nursing Department
  • Ensure compliance with state requirements for school nursing services and oversee the submission of state reporting, including but not limited to SHARRS reporting.
  • Facilitate opportunities throughout the Commonwealth to provide annual medical screenings for students.
School Social Workers
  • Provide guidance and support to social worker(s) in addressing the social, emotional and behavioral needs of students.
  • Ensure that social workers collaborate with school staff, families and community resources to provide comprehensive support services.
  • Home & School Liaisons Coordination
    • Oversee the coordination of home & school liaison services to facilitate communication and collaboration between school and home environments.
    • Ensure that home & school liaisons advocate for students and families, address attendance issues, and connect families with resources and support services, as needed.
Section 504
  • Oversee the development and implementation of 504 plans for students with disabilities, providing training and support to staff and ensuring adherence to state regulations.
  • Provide professional development opportunities for staff on developing and implementing 504 plans and other relevant topics related to student services.
Student Orientation
  • Oversee student orientation programs for new students.
  • Provide suggestions for improvements to increase student engagement.
State Standardized Testing
  • Provide support to students and staff with state standardized testing, including test planning, administration and interpretation of results.
Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
  • Support the implementation of the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) to address the academic and behavioral needs of all students.
Data Analysis
  • Collect and analyze data related to student services to make informed decisions for continuous improvement.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services and/or the CEO.
QUALIFICATIONS:

-Master's Degree in Education

- Valid Pennsylvania Supervisory and/or Principal Certification

- Valid PA Instruction I of II Teaching Certification

-Strong technology background supporting student performance and professional growth.
-Demonstrated leadership experience as outlined in the Framework for Leadership

-Outstanding communication and organizational skills.

-Experience in a student services field and in the administration and supervision of student services areas preferred.

-Other combinations of applicable education, training and experience that provide the knowledge, abilities and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.

$95,717.00 - $129,500 per year

In 1999 the Intermediate Units of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties saw the need for a cyber school to serve their students, but they wanted to ensure that the school offered high quality education.
