Duties
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement individualized care plans and ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
- Support individuals in participating in community activities and social interactions
- Document observations, progress, and incidents according to established protocols
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized goals and interventions
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for individuals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in a related field is a plus
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or similar populations preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, vital signs monitoring, HIPAA regulations, and nursing home care is beneficial
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, and other team members
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and maintain professional boundaries
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
