Responsibilities

The 1o8 team is built to help our clients win by maintaining a relentless focus on achieving business growth KPIs in our media campaigns.

The Director of Digital Media & Strategy is responsible for managing a team of media planners, specialists and strategists focused on the development, execution, and optimization of paid media campaigns and performance reporting and analysis for assigned clients. They are a skilled communicator, both verbally and in writing, and are responsible for creating a clear and comprehensive strategy and channel plan to accomplish client’s goals that can guide the work of the entire 1o8 team and its partners. They can manage at a high-level but also aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and analyze user experience data, initiate digital projects, report on planned and current strategies, lead effective digital marketing strategies, and ensure that projects are executed within budget. They will play a pivotal role in growing the agency’s business, customer base, and improving user experience. Ideal candidates for this position should be innovative, and web and multimedia savvy. Ultimately, the outstanding Digital Strategist should have a firm grasp of the various digital touch-points, steer our organization's digital narrative, and drive highly effective digital campaigns.

The right candidate has experience with consumer brands and can support cross-functional teams to drive growth for our clients by leading with curiosity and critical thinking: asking probing questions, anticipating and addressing barriers. They are also comfortable with ambiguity and can leverage all resources to problem solve. 

Day-to-Day Requirements:

  • Set strategy and approve plans and campaigns for key clients
  • Utilize their firm grasp of the various digital touch-points to steer our organization's digital narrative and drive highly effective digital campaigns
  • Establish process and standards of delivery for the paid media team
  • Develop single and multi-channel media plans for varying client goals, demonstrating knowledge of each channel's role within a holistic media strategy
  • Use Facebook and other social platforms, Google Ads, Amazon, and DSPs to build and optimize campaigns to maximize performance (e.g. ROAS) for assigned clients 
  • Identify and understand client goals in order to autonomously create campaign structures, pace accounts, and perform optimizations across multiple client accounts
  • Extract insights from campaign data, identify relevant trends, and provide thoughtful, proactive recommendations to exceed client goals 
  • Deliver monthly reporting and ad hoc campaign updates for assigned clients

Ideal Experience

  • 7 years managing digital media campaigns in an agency setting, with paid media experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of hands-on campaign management 
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital technology and terminology (has managed SEO audits, website builds, etc.
  • Possess broad knowledge of best digital practicesTrack record of expertly counseling clients, managing issues and meeting business goals 
  • Advanced analytical, statistical analysis, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to think strategically with a focus on innovative and measurable client solutions
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity
  • Demonstrate agility and ability to quickly adapt to new situations
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Performance Measurement

  • Maintain performance benchmarks (e.g. ROAS) across 1o8 client portfolio
