The Opportunity
Come be part of a promising B2B SaaS venture supporting the profitable growth of small to medium sized e-commerce brands. Through the application of sophisticated AI and machine learning algorithms coupled with nudges grounded in behavioral science, Vandra enables brands to squeeze more sales out of their existing site traffic.
Vandra is seeking a full-stack software engineer on the Vandra squad. You will be helping to develop a web application that drives meaningful sales growth for e-commerce brands through shopping experiences powered by a combination of AI/ML and behavioral science. You will be responsible for feature development, bug fixing, quality assurance, and test writing. You will be part of an experienced team including data scientists and senior back-end / infrastructure engineers.
This role calls for someone who is entrepreneurial, moves fast, and is comfortable with ambiguity and quick direction change. Because this is a small team, you will be involved in all aspects of the product (and business) development lifecycle. You should be comfortable working in environments you haven’t seen before and learning new technologies as necessary.
Responsibilities
Developing web application features that allow Vandra to optimize the e-commerce shopping experience
Participating in the full product development process, including customer discovery, UX research, feature ideation, prioritization, and feedback gathering
Conducting quality assurance on developed features to ensure that they meet the needs of our customers
Writing automated tests (functional, automated code review) to catch issues before they reach end-users
Quickly fixing bugs that are discovered after features are released

A common back-end language (e.g., Node, Python, Ruby): Basic

Python (specifically the Flask web framework)
