167 Hospitality has a position open on our raw bar for a proficient shellfish shucker at BAR167 Bistro & Lounge.

167 has a strong reputation for the best oysters and raw bar, which includes our staff. Our shellfish shuckers are the lifeblood of our establishment and hold the standard for proper shucking methods.

All shuckers must be highly proficient with multi-tasking and shucking large volumes of shellfish. Clean presentation, in conjunction with professional speed, is required. During service, the shucker greets and engages with the guests, and must be able to answer guests’ questions. Our shuckers are responsible for basic food preparation and kitchen help to aid in raw bar mis en place.

Requirements

• Shucks at least 9 oysters in 90 seconds time
• Encompasses proper hygiene
• Full availability and flexible schedule
• Able to work on their feet for long periods of time
• Able to lift 50 lbs
