Our entire team strives to provide superior property management service at each of our communities. Job SummaryAs a Renovation & Unit Make-Ready Technician, your main role is to support the renovation and preparation of residential units for occupancy. Collaborating closely with both the renovation and property management teams, you will ensure that units undergo efficient renovation, meeting our high-quality standards. Your responsibilities will extend to preparing non-renovated units for new tenants through various tasks associated with our make-ready process. Additionally, you will provide general support for the on-site maintenance teams. As a representative of the company, we expect professional and respectful communication with residents, vendors, and co-workers. What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist in the renovation of residential units, including but not limited to painting, drywall repair, plumbing, electrical work, and appliance installation. 
• Follow renovation plans and instructions provided by the renovation supervisor to ensure timely completion and quality craftsmanship.
• Ensure that renovation work meets building codes and safety standards.
• Assist in the preparation of vacant units for new tenants by performing make-ready tasks such as cleaning, painting, minor repairs, and replacing fixtures.
• Conduct thorough inspections of units to identify any maintenance or repair issues required to be addressed before occupancy.
• Coordinate with property management to prioritize make-ready tasks based on occupancy schedules and tenant needs.
• Ensure that units are presented in a clean, attractive, and move-in ready condition.
• Provide support to the maintenance team as needed, including responding to maintenance requests and performing routine repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of renovation materials and supplies.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work required.
• Experience in renovation or construction-related field is highly preferred.
• Possess the ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job to include lifting heavy objects and perform manual labor.
• Basic computer skills and excellent written/oral communication.
• Be available to occasionally work evenings or weekends, particularly during peak renovation periods or in response to emergency maintenance requests.
• Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to frequently travel to properties across the company.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• High School Diploma/GED

Abilities and Other RequirementsTo successfully perform the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and to move about the various work environments to train, monitor and ensure compliance with all company requirements. The employee must be able to verbally communicate in person and by phone with employees, co-workers, and customers. The employee must also be able to travel to various worksites if needed. Overnight travel may be required on occasion.
