TITLE: Program Manager
REPORTS TO: Program Director
TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-time
COMPENSATION: $25.00/hour (Exempt).

Job Description
Under the supervision of the Program Director, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Youth Center including daily program operations, facility maintenance, member management, data collection and social media.
Job Duties
- To provide a safe learning environment for children, nurture a positive work environment that is conducive to members and their optimal growth and development
- Maintain and facilitate open communication with parents, staff, and members
- Follow staff conduct guidelines outlined in the staff handbook
- Perform facility maintenance and housekeeping duties daily
- Answer phones and meet deliveries
- Manage daily programming
- Collect and write content for social media and newsletter. content includes: text, images, video
- Manage daily Trello (Project Management tasks)
- Daily communication on tasks via Slack and video chat
- Implement high-quality programs where students are engaged in a variety of ways
- Initiate personal contact with all families and foster a positive environment for the children.
- Refer questions and concerns to the Executive Director when needed and appropriate
- Use positive youth development strategies
- Create and implement activities for children in an enriching, engaging and enjoyable manner
- Directly supervise and provide group management for students, supervise to ensure children’s safety
- Ensure that Colorado Department of Human Services Child Care, District and Department policies and procedures are followed
- Maintain appropriate records and logs and provide accurate and timely information on program operations as requested
- Work with team members to create a harmonious and efficient working environment
- Attend required Center orientations, trainings, and staff meetings
- Maintain a punctual, reliable schedule during program hours
- Additional duties as assigned by Executive Director and Board
INTERACTION WITH CHILDREN
- The employee maintains professional boundaries with children while creating a nurturing and accepting environment on an ongoing basis.
- The employee demonstrates the ability to identify behaviors, anticipate potential problems and meet the needs of individual children on an ongoing basis.
- The employee communicates and interacts with clients respectfully, utilizing appropriate word choices and refraining from derogatory comments or name-calling.
- The employee utilizes the behavior management techniques (which require a certain degree of balance and physical strength) with clients, which may include physical management (staff are trained to use Crisis Prevention Intervention technique) on an as needed basis.
- The employee may be responsible for working with youth who have emotional and behavioral issues resulting from trauma and neglect, and who display verbal and physical aggression.
- Documenting incidents per CDHS requirements.
Qualifications
3 years working with youth in an educational setting required. Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in Health and Human Services, Education or Social Work preferred.
Strong computer skills.
Must be able to become First Aid (online and in person), CPR (online and in person) and Standard Precautions (online), Emergency and Disaster Preparedness for Child Care Providers (online) certified.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have a Driver's License and ability to drive a van at night.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to read, write and speak the English language. Bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
Physical effort is required by occasionally handling gaming and office equipment
Sits, stands, bends, and moves intermittently during working hours.
Subject to frequent interruptions.
Interacts with students, family members, and visitors daily.
