Job Details: Job Summary: Prepares shipments for delivery and maintains records as required. This position typically works under close supervision and direction. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Researches contracts for packaging requirements. Prepares packaging requirement instructions when required. Packages and packs materials in accordance with contract or to effect damage free delivery as applicable. Processes small parcel shipments (i.e., United Parcel Service, Federal Express etc.). Maintains shipping supply inventory. Using computer generates MIL-STD identification and barcode labels. Files shipping documents and records as required by company Records Retention Manual. Interfaces with Documentation Analyst and Shipping Inspection on contractually deliverable shipments. Supports all other departments requiring shipping information of assistance. Minimum Job Requirements: High school graduation or equivalent. Four years shipping experience with emphasis on military packaging. Able to identify and properly use MIL-SPC packaging materials. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow written and verbal directions, prioritize work, complete multiple tasks and work under deadlines. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Able to relate to others in a friendly and professional manner. Forklift operation trainable.
