The Role Roles and Responsibilities: Participate in evaluation of supporting technologies and industry best practices with our cloud partners and peer teams Lead Modern Data Warehouse Solutions and Sizing efforts to create defined plans and work estimates for customer proposals and Statements of work Conduct full technical discovery, identifying pain points, business, and technical requirements, “as is” and “to be” scenarios! Lead client discovery to identify business and technical requirements and identify risk or potential issues Evaluate the full technology stack of services required including PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, DataOps, operations, availability, and automation. Research, design, and develop Public & Private Data Solutions, including impacts to enterprise architecture Technical – Experience Designing, Developing, Deploying and/or Migrating to AZURE, AWS, and other leading data environments Work with Sales teams to identify and qualify opportunities hosted by Azure, AWS, and other Data Services Lead the discussions of cloud concepts as it relates to Kyndryl’s Cloud methodology so that clear offerings are developed and implemented with focus on success. Day-to-Day activities Provide technical leadership specific to data architecture and solutions design Designing solutions to meet the needs and business goals of customers Mentor and assist team members with Knowledge transfer and technical leadership Contribute where you time is most needed and provides the most benefit Stay Current with technology, Kyndryl abilities and market trends. Excellent technologist that, would be able to develop and extend data ingestions using both ELT/ETL data movement pipelines Ability to deliver an ingestion framework for relational data sources, understand layers and rules of a data lake and carry out all the tasks to operationalize data pipelines Experience with Synapse Workspace, Synapse Pipelines, Data Factory Pipelines, Data Bricks notebooks, Synapse Data Lakes, Synapse Spark, Synapse SQL Pools, Synapse Serverless Pools, Purview and other data solutions Coding skills should include proficiency in SQL, Spark languages such as Python and PySpark and or Scala Should understand Modern Data Warehouse Designs Data Engineer would support the Data Architect and supplement data modeling, skills under some circumstances. It would be great if the was familiar with other data tools such as Informatica and or Talend Familiar with Streaming Sources and loading raw data from stream sources using Kafka and or Stream Analytics Kyndryl currently does not require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, however, if you are hired to work at a client, customer, or partner location, you may be required to show proof of vaccination to align with their respective COVID-19 vaccination policies. Who You Are Required Professional and Technical Expertise: 5 years within specific technology domain areas. e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems In depth knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud hosting architecture with experience with AZURE and AWS is a bonus In depth knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems Azure, AWS, or GCP based Cloud Architecture and migration skills and experience Experience depicting complex technology architectures pictorially using tools like Visio, Draw.IO, Lucid Charts, etc Getting data that is compatible with your business needs Creating algorithms to convert data into actionable, useful information Developing ELT and ETL Author Transformation using a Spark Language (Pyspark, Scala, Ect) Constructing and generating infrastructure automate object ingestion Preparing raw data to be used by data scientists Preparing curated data for discovery and for operationalizing a data load of a data model Debugging Pipelines Planning scheduling orchestration of copy/ELT and ETL pipelines using tools such as Airflow/Data Factory/ Synapse Collaborating in CICD pipelines using publishing procedures and checking code in Experience with system development in cloud environments, including Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as Service (IaaS) Must have experience driving for engineering solutions and working across teams Exceptional judgment and decision-making abilities Familiar with a variety of IT concepts, practices, and procedures Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce conclusions and responses Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written Strong process improvement experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise: Strong process improvement experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail Experience assisting with the design of Cloud foundation capabilities, shared services, associated guardrails, and governance 7 years enterprise data solutions 5 years of hands-on experience in at least one of the following: in Modern Data Warehousing, Data Lake Ingestion, Data ops practices Being You Diversity is a whole lot more than what we look like or where we come from, it’s how we think and who we are.
