1000 ConAgra Fds Packaged Fds LLC is Hiring a Quality Assurance Technician - 2nd Shift Near Saint Elmo, IL
As a QA Technician you will be directly involved with the safety and quality of the product, from receipt of incoming ingredients to distribution of finished goods; Our mission is to ensure manufacturing and warehousing operations comply with regulatory requirements and quality specifications. Responsibilities involve gathering data from different sources to determine if actions are necessary, analysis, evaluation, and subsequent documentation of the findings. You will also provide direction for facility compliance with Quality Assurance Procedures. You will report to the QA Supervisor in our St. Elmo, Illinois manufacturing facility. You Will: Follow all safe working practices. Promote and comply with plant safety requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices, and applicable plant rules and procedures. Coordinate projects as assigned under the supervision of the QA Manager. Projects may include program design, implementation and monitoring of local and corporate quality programs, review of practices and documentation, trend analysis, presentation of findings, and training of the general workforce in quality related procedures and requirements. Analyze the production environment, ingredients, in-process product, and finished products Work in a team environment to conduct facility and line audits to verify the implementation and effectiveness of programs such as GMP’s, Pest control, Glass control, Sanitation, and Formula control/compliance Review quality and production records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality specifications Communicate with leadership to convey findings to the appropriate individuals promptly Participate in training programs as assigned You Have: High School degree or equivalent (GED) Associate’s Degree or higher with courses in mathematics, chemistry or biology, preferred Experience in a food manufacturing facility working with food quality assurance/control systems Occasionally lift items up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.
