10 BCFS Health and Human Services is Hiring an Allies Peer Support Ally (Volunteer) Near San Antonio, TX

It's a great feeling to work for a company that does so much good for others around the world! Academic Req: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Work experience: Varied experience accepted. Preferred leadership or supervisory experience or training. Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables: 1. Complete Pre-Service Training prior to matching. 2. Meet with matched survivor at least 2 times per month or an average of 8 hours per month. 3. Participate in monthly check-ins with Allies Peer Support Specialist. 4. Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations. Other Responsibilities: 1. Attend and complete ongoing training throughout participation in program. 2. Submit required surveys and documentation to program according to Allies Peer Support standards and timelines. Requirements: 1. Valid Texas driver’s license 2. Have access to a vehicle and proof of insurance. 3. Complete a criminal and DFPS background check. 4. Commit to being matched for a minimum of 1 year. 5. Demonstrate the ability to respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
