The Institute of Arctic Biology is accepting applications to our Student Assistant Pool. Applicants will be reviewed on an as-needed basis by various departments during the year. 

Ability to follow written and oral instructions, dependable, team-oriented, willingness to learn office/lab procedures, filing systems, and operations of standard office equipment/lab equipment. Ability to maintain confidentiality and perform multiple tasks. Duties could require independent judgment and decision-making.

No experience required.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Applicant should be enrolled as a UAF student in a minimum of 6 credits with a minimum GPA of 2.0, or a newly enrolled student.

Position Details:

*Compensation is commensurate with experience and type of work assigned* - Starting hourly rate is $11.34/hour.

This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year and applications will be reviewed on an as-needed basis.
