Job Description:
We are looking for a Product Lead who will have a rare opportunity to help define and refine the product roadmap for our company over the next 24 months and well beyond. Working side-by-side with the founding team, this person will be a key contributor to building out the product development function at Koop, from iterating on new feature prototypes to ensuring the commercial success of the whole platform.
Specifically, the candidate will:
    • Take full ownership of the product vision and roadmap, from low-level frameworks and models to customer-facing features and experiences encompassing insurance, compliance, and security
    • Design pioneering features curating the entire feature lifecycle from product documentation and engineering specifications to UX/UI and post-launch analytics
    • Work with complex data sets to understand customer exposure and generate custom risk profiles that will aid insurance underwriting at scale
    • Perform in-depth user research to identify user problems and create new features
    • Collaborate with the go-to-market team on product marketing and develop product collateral
    • Set KPIs for the Product team as well as hold all functions of the company accountable to meet the required milestones
    • Learn the technicals of product implementation by working closely with the world-class engineering team
    • Explore the applications of the latest machine learning technology in building the world's smartest insurance platform
    • Help structure innovative insurance products for a wide range of emerging risks
    • Navigate complex regulatory environments of the compliance and insurance industries
    • Work with cross-functional teams in Distribution, Insurance, Engineering, Operations, and Research
    • Report to and work closely with the C-Suite of the company
    • Be a subject matter expert and thought leader in the GRC (Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance), security, and insurance areas
    • Represent Koop Technologies and own the emerging risks narratives
Job Requirements:
    • Experience in product development at a tech company
    • Experience in spearheading pioneering B2B SaaS products for emerging categories
    • Experience in compliance automation, commercial insurance, or regulated industries products
    • Familiarity with the software engineering lifecycle and ability to work with technical teams
    • Demonstrated ability to interact with customers on beta launches, feedback sourcing, and product marketing with a deep understanding of customer needs and purchasing habits
    • Solid understanding of the general B2B market structure and dynamics
    • Strong knowledge of the product development craft and ability to reason from the first principles
    • Ability to keep a sharp focus on the priority deliverables
    • Founder mindset, great taste, tremendous work ethic, and excellent written/verbal skills
Qualifications:
    • At least 5 years of experience at a B2B SaaS, insurtech, or fintech company in a mid-to-senior-level product development role with a track record of successful product launches
    • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Arts, Science, or related academic fields
    • Excellent project or program management skills
    • Excellent communication and written skills
    • Coding skills are preferred but not required

$100,000 - $150,000 a year
We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package for this position. Additionally, we offer a robust equity options package.
Your compensation package will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to your skills, knowledge, experience level, and current market rates. It's worth noting that the total compensation can be significantly higher depending on the equity options' performance.
