Role Description

As a Release Manager, you play an important role in delivering business and customer value through leading and optimising team processes for sustainable flow within a cross-functional and collaborative environment. You will build strong relationships with your immediate teams and key stakeholders in the wider business, ensuring proactive clear communication across dependencies, milestones, scope, and risks.

Qualifications

  • 5 year’s in-depth experience working in an Agile scrum environment that released software regularly including for Cloud applications.
  • Experience in release management for Cloud (required) and on-prem (desirable) applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role.
  • Extensive experience working across or with multiple teams in a complex product environment.
  • Advanced SDLC knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD.
  • The ability to influence and inspire people, and proactively manage stakeholder expectations.
  • The ability to drive outcomes and strong performance across multiple teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Well organized, with strong analytical ability.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, monitor, and deliver both cloud and on-premise product releases
  • Internal and external stakeholder communication & reporting, including expectation management.
  • Facilitate communication within Engineering, driving process improvement, standardization, and reporting.
  • Manage, mitigate, and communicate code change and release risks.
  • Manage AppStore and Google Play Developer releases.
  • Review and coordinate updates for release documentation.
  • Measure and monitor release quality, work with QA Chapter Lead to ensure releases are of high quality.
