Western United States Agricultural Trade Association is Hiring a Program Manager Near Vancouver, WA

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, Program Manager! The Western United States Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA), a results-driven non-profit in Vancouver, Washington has a full-time Program Manager opportunity supporting small Agribusiness’ in the western states and territories you won’t want to miss!

WUSATA's mission is to increase international growth of Western agribusiness by providing financial support, export readiness, and business development services to companies located in the thirteen Western United States, Guam, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. We achieve organizational excellence through efficient and effective people, systems, teamwork, and processes!

To direct, administer, and manage all aspects of the FundMatch claims program by developing and implementing program initiatives, projects, policies, and procedures consistent with federal, state, and WUSATA regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently manage and administer the claims program in accordance with federal funding regulations and internal company policies and operating procedures
  • Manage FundMatch claims guide, applications, contracting, and allocation of program budget for participating companies
  • Coordinate the annual preparation and submission of Unified Export Strategy (UES) application
  • Manage all program contributions
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports to meet federal funding requirements
  • Support team on annual compliance review and financial audit
  • Track, monitor, and report on program results, funding utilization, and other program initiatives to identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Provide leadership and oversight of daily operations of assigned programs, including integration of best practices and evaluation of program services
  • Manage continuous improvement and performance evaluation processes, including goal setting, annual reviews, and professional development of direct reports
  • Manage the hiring, training, and retention of direct reports
  • Integrate best practices into day-to-day program operations
  • Ensure effective quality assurance and overall integrity of the program
  • Work collaboratively with team members and members to ensure consistent, fully integrated programs for all company participants receiving services through WUSATA
  • Support planning and execution of WUSATA strategic planning and member meetings
  • Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation, and creativity
  • Attend and participate in all meetings as assigned, including but not limited to staff and team meetings, consultations with company participants, member states and territories, and other third-party partners
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers to promote quality, consistency, and efficiency in WUSATA operations
  • Promote a culture of trust, service, integrity, excellence, and accountability
  • Create, model, and maintain a work culture that supports and values inclusion, equity, and diversity
  • Domestic and international travel required up to 20%
  • Must have the ability to travel to Vancouver, WA for consecutive overnight stays once per month for a minimum of the first 6 months of employment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in non-profit, project management, program management, or related field; 2 years additional relevant experience may be substituted for degree
  • Minimum of two years of experience managing direct reports
  • Demonstrated history of strong project management and organizational skills; ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks with exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated strength in team management; passion for supporting and developing staff; strong ability to motivate team members and assess performance
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills; ability to cultivate professionally collaborative relationships at all levels, from direct reports to members of the board
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a “big picture” perspective
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications and other cloud-based tools

Compensation Range Based on Experience:

$55,000 to $70,000 per year.
