Job Description

Job Description
Surgical practice is looking for a office supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations and staff at its three offices. This person will actively promote high levels of patient relations and customer service in a cost-effective manner, as well as demonstrate and guide relationships among staff that promote professionalism and respect.
Candidate Experience: Previous staff management and office operations experience in a large healthcare / medical group practice setting. Overall awareness of medical record keeping, insurance pre-certification, coding, reimbursements and insurance company relationships. Successful candidates will be professional and self-motivated with a strong multi-tasking capability.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Administrative:
  • Manages daily operations of the office, coordinates and delegates the work activities and schedules of staff.
  • Works with staff to develop and implement common clinic operational policies and procedures for records, forms, scheduling/pre-cert processes, etc.
  • Administers practice policies and procedures in a consistent and timely manner.
  • Recruits, hires, trains & cross trains, provides orientation for and supervises assigned clerical and clinical personnel in practice facilities and maintains proper staffing levels.
  • Evaluates performance and recommends merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions when needed.
  • Conducts office meetings and seeks opportunities for continuing education for the staff as needed.
  • Ensures that office space, supplies, and equipment are provided and maintained appropriately for medical staff and patient care.
  • Embraces and promotes the use of appropriate technology to streamline and improve operations.
Financial
  • Manages internal billing process and coordinates with external billing company
  • Manages accounts payables
Patient Care:
  • Manages patient outcome tracking initiatives.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of personal health information following HIPAA policy and government regulation. Maintains and supports patient confidentiality among all staff members and outside contacts.
  • Monitors and reports key performance indicators as identified by practice management team.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Associate degree or equivalent work experience Health insurance offered as well as paid time off and sick days.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
