SPUDNIK EQUIPMENT COMPANY LLC is Hiring a Maintenance Planner Near Blackfoot, ID

Job Summary

The Maintenance Planner plays a critical role in improving production equipment reliability by providing quality work planning and scheduling. The Planner will provide updated, detailed, and thorough work instructions, utilizing feedback from Maintenance Technicians. The Planner will take the lead on optimizing the preventative maintenance schedule to ensure work being done effectively and efficiently. The planner will also be responsible for ensuring compliance to the maintenance schedule. Maintenance knowledge, communication, and organizational skills are vital for the planner to be effective. The planner will be available for fluctuating shifts and overtime where appropriate in order to respond to production needs. The planner will demonstrate a high level of responsibility and accountability while working effectively and efficiently.

  • Provide weekly reporting on PM schedule compliance;
  • Optimize and manage the PM master schedule for all production equipment and facilities;
  • Work closely with production and maintenance leadership for PM scheduling;
  • Update and improve work instructions based on feedback from technicians & leadership;
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed on equipment, logging it in Spudnik’s ERP;
  • Assist maintenance leadership in allocating work to technicians;
  • Maintain a strong understanding of machinery used at Spudnik, by reading equipment manuals, attending trainings and getting feedback from operators & technicians.
  • Recommend process improvements and participate in process improvement efforts;

  • Work in a team environment with little or no supervision;
  • Actively work with internal and external customers to identify and solve problems;
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment;

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in planning or project management activities;
  • Demonstrated experience working in a maintenance role, automotive repair, or field service environment;
  • Post-secondary education preferred;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, and file/data management systems;
  • Ability to read instructional drawings and schematics;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently;
  • Proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).


Machines Typically Operated

  • Computer, copier, scanner, telephone, printer;
  • Material handling equipment such as forklift, pallet-jack, telehandler, motor vehicle, etc.;
  • Other machines and equipment specific to department or facility needs.

Typical Environmental Conditions

  • Activities generally occur inside a production office environment. The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions typical of a manufacturing environment. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. There may be sufficient noise at times to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level. The production shop environment includes a variety of physical conditions such a proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, and working on scaffolding or other high places. The employee may be exposed to one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust mists, gases or poor ventilation. There is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
