**Job Title: Harness Manufacturing Technician**

**Department: Manufacturing**

**Reports To: Manufacturing Supervisor**

**Position Overview:**

As a Harness Manufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality electrical harnesses used in a wide range of agricultural equipment. Your expertise in assembly, soldering, and testing will ensure the reliability and efficiency of our products, contributing significantly to the agricultural sector's technological advancement.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assemble various types of electrical harnesses and cables according to precise specifications and blueprints.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of manufacturing equipment, including soldering irons, crimping tools, and wire strippers, to ensure the highest quality of workmanship.
  • Perform quality control tests on harnesses and cables to ensure they meet industry standards and specific customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to interpret schematics and blueprints, ensuring accurate assembly and customization of harnesses.
  • Troubleshoot and repair any issues identified during the assembly or testing processes, applying problem-solving skills to maintain production timelines.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company policies and industry safety standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
  • Keep detailed records of production processes, including assembly procedures, testing results, and inventory levels, to ensure transparency and traceability.

**Qualifications:**

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in electrical harness assembly or a similar manufacturing role, preferably in the agricultural equipment industry.
  • Ability to organize and maintain organization of multiple components within a large project.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, such as schematics and blueprints.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail, capable of performing precise and consistent work.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and safety regulations relevant to electrical manufacturing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting purposes.

**Work Environment:**

This position operates in a manufacturing setting. The role routinely requires the use of personal protective equipment and may involve exposure to dust, fumes, and noise.

**Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:**

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the possibility of overtime as job duties demand.
