Wellbore Integrity is Hiring a Journeyman HVAC Mechanic Near Houston, TX
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of HVAC systems, pipework and associated materials and equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues associated with HVAC chill water and refrigerant supplied units.
Coordinate crane lift equipment replacements onsite with support from the department staff and leadership.
Always possess and maintain required personal tools and good housekeeping.
Assemble, install, test, and maintain chill water and boiler water supplied air handler units, including coil replacement and actuator upgrades.
Possess the ability to properly handle and manage campus refrigerant.
Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints, and written instruction.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, man lifts to 40’ vertical and roofs to install, maintain or repair HVAC systems along with other maintenance duties.
Perform physically demanding tasks, such as extended hours or after hours.
Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
Train and mentor, the facility staff in all aspects of HVAC mechanical trade.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Texas HVAC Air Conditioning/Refrigeration A or B License. Contractor license is highly preferred. Current Driver’s License
Minimum of four years of experience supporting primary key position.
Working during inclement weather, you could be exposed to extreme cold and heat, noise and dust from construction operations depending upon the project site.
Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested.
Frequently walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing.
Willing to wear basic PPE (personal protective equipment) such as hard-hat, safety glasses and high visibility vest.
