JOB DESCRIPTION

Physician and Community Education Representative

Responsible for providing physician and community education regarding the services and benefits of Quality Home Health and developing new referral sources, as well as maintaining existing referral sources. Reports directly to the Director of Business Development. Responsible for developing and updating a written marketing plan at least annually and presenting to the Director of Business Development for discussion and approval. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience or knowledge of healthcare business development practices.
  • Experience in home care business development preferable.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and/or projects on a structured schedule.
  • Must be capable of performing job duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Generates new business for the agency, by planning and executing a written marketing plan, which includes direct and indirect marketing efforts.
  1. Planning, executing and directing an effective marketing campaign under the direction of the Director of Business Development.
  1. Accomplishes volume driver goals for new referral sources, unduplicated census, total episodes and total patients.
  1. Increases agency revenue by identifying and approaching new marketing opportunities.
  1. Maintains public and employee awareness of home health marketing and community education issues via meetings and distribution of information to the public and agency employees.
  1. Manages, directs and supports the presentations of the agency products and services to referral sources and provides the same to health care related meetings, conventions and conferences.
  1. Assists in and manages development, production and distribution of all the company publications within a defined budget.
  1. Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
  1. Meet sales goals and quotas set by supervisor.
  1. Significant local travel to current and potential clients to present and sell company services.
  1. Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  1. Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
  1. Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
  1. Prepare presentations and proposals.
  1. Attends all Inservices and staff conferences as assigned by supervisor.
  1. Maintains confidentiality of information related to business practices, business activities, and personnel.
  1. Maintains a professional attitude when working with the staff, fostering the team philosophy and team environment for all personnel.
  1. Keeps supervisor informed of findings on a daily basis, when necessary.
  1. Does not allow personal affairs to interfere with the scheduled work time.
  1. Maintains a professional appearance at all times.
  1. Provides proper notification and/or advance notice of absence or tardiness without abuse.
  1. Participates willingly with special projects and/or works in excess of forty (40) hours, when requested.
  1. Abides by all agency policies and procedures.
