Releady is Hiring a Business Continuity Program Management Consultant Near Redmond, WA

OVERVIEW
As a Business Continuity Program Management Consultant, you will play a critical role in supporting operations and business continuity readiness for one of the largest global technology and software companies. This project will require subject matter expertise in Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning and Business Continuity operations; IT operations centers, data centers, internal supply chain, incident management emergency preparedness, and incident management; Test, Training, and Exercise (TT&E) development and execution; a variety of software tools; technical writing; and project management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Continuity of Operations (COOP) Planning: Leverage your subject matter expertise to develop and maintain effective COOP plans.
  • Business Continuity Operations: Ensure seamless continuity of critical business functions during disruptions.
  • Incident Management and Emergency Preparedness: Contribute to incident response planning and execution.
  • Test, Training, and Exercise (TT&E): Develop and conduct exercises to validate continuity plans.
  • Software Tools: Utilize a variety of software tools to enhance business continuity capabilities.
  • Technical Writing: Create clear and concise documentation for processes and procedures.
  • Project Management: Lead and coordinate business continuity projects.
  • Risk Assessments: Identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to the organization's operations and develop strategies to mitigate or eliminate these risks.
  • Operational Models and Procedures: Define existing and new operational models and procedures.
  • Communication Skills: Effectively facilitate meetings and deliver presentations to various audiences including senior leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of Business Continuity or Emergency Management experience.
  • Knowledge of SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions, Cloud Technologies, and Supply Chain.
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced and high stress operations environment while managing multiple streams of work simultaneously is required.
  • Strong communicator, ability to concisely communicate complex information.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience with Business Continuity and related principles/standards.
  • MS Office Proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project). Experience with trouble ticketing system-currently using Service Manager.
  • Strong ITIL service management knowledge around service design, change management, incident management, and continuity management.
DESIRED CERTIFICATIONS
  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (DRII CBCP) or equivalent industry certification and Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalents preferred.
  • PMP Certification/Six Sigma Certification
  • Expertise with Enterprise Change Standards
CONTRACT DETAILS
  • Start Date: March 2024
  • Duration: 12-month contract
  • Pay Rate: $70 to $100/hr
  • Location: Greater Seattle Area
