SUMMARY:

As the first major point of contact in assisting a customer’s needs; our Water Mitigation Technicians will provide the first line of defense for homes and businesses by supporting the cleanup and restoration of water, fire, smoke, sewage, and mold damaged property.

This position reports to the Mitigation/Contents Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform emergency response and ongoing work for water, fire, storm, and mold damage jobs according to the IICRC standards of care.
• Work with Managers to evaluate new losses for scope of work to be performed.
• Evaluate all job sites for safety hazards and work in a safe manner, including wearing all necessary Personal Protective Equipment.
• Get work authorizations, certificate of satisfaction, and necessary documents signed on all jobs.
• Document daily job progress in detail in Paul Davis’s suit of job management software.
• Clean and restore damaged household items after a fire, flood, or any type of loss.
• Provide thorough cleaning of contents, furniture, heirlooms, collectibles, appliances, electronics, housewares, and other belongings, while utilizing industry-approved cleaning techniques and equipment. {Dry and wet cleaning; deodorization - ozone, foggers, etc.}
• Disassembly and reassembly of items.
• Inventorying, photographing, packing, loading & transport of items.
• Ensure proper identification and organization of personal property according to industry procedures.
• Listing content that has been deemed non-restorable.
• Sorting and packing of contents in such a manner as to avoid any damage.
• Drive company vehicles stocked with appropriate equipment to each loss.
• Ensure attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people’s property and information.
• Practice good housekeeping to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Highschool Diploma/GED, or combination of experience (with required training)
• Prior Experience in a physical labor position preferred, but not necessary.
• Able to pass Drug Test, MVR Check, and Background Check.

• Being tech savvy is a must.

Working Conditions:

• Construction environment with exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, and fumes.
• Exposure to moderate noise levels.
• May require standing or walking for up to 8 hours per day.
• Must be able to walk up and down stairs and be able to climb ladders.
• Able to lift 50lbs.

Equipment Used:

• Microsoft O365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.) and other software applications include Xactimate, Symbility, Job Management Software (RMS), etc.
• Laptop, iPad/tablets, smartphones
• Basic hand tools, including hammer and prybar; oscillating multi-tools and blades; battery operated drill gun and screwdriver.
