Normandy Farm Hotel/Blue Bell County Club is Hiring a Banquet Server Near Blue Bell, PA

Description

Job Summary:

A banquet server delivers food and beverages to guests at large events, parties, and weddings. The responsibilities of this position ensuring timely delivery of food & beverages while providing excellent customer service to guests.

This is part-time permanent position (Not Seasonal). We are looking for mature qualified people to work weekday PM shifts and or Friday/Saturday and Sunday AM & PM shifts. Please note that you can be scheduled to work a shift or two on the weekend and must have open availability to be scheduled for any of these days.

Banquet Server Functions:

  • Attends and Participates in all training sessions and team meetings.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others while listening and responding in an appropriate manner.
  • Prepares for an upcoming event to include gathering supplies and proper set-up.
  • Greet guests with a warm smile to make them feel welcome.
  • Butler Hors d'oeuvres as needed while being polite, friendly, and helpful to guests.
  • General clean-up (bussing of plates and glassware)
  • Confirm orders accordingly to your assigned section and tables.
  • Replenish drinks and wine along with providing coffee services in a timely manner.
  • Always maintain clean tables efficiently.
  • General Clean-up and breakdown at the events conclusion
  • Reset the banquet room as required and instructed.
  • Cater to the guests’ requests and needs in a prompt and professional manner to ensure an overall superior level of customer service.
  • Follow instructions and adhere to all procedures and company policies while maintaining a high standard of conduct.
  • Notifies and reports any problems or concerns to management.
  • Reports to the Banquet Captain

Requirements

 Essential Requirements: 

  • Previous experience working in a hospitality setting
  • Previous experience working as a banquet server is a plus
  • Available to work weekends, evening shifts and major holidays (Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, along with other special events from time to time)
  • Abide by all Laws and company policies that regulate serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Mandatory compliance with all safety regulations, procedures, policies, and rules
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Always arrives punctually in full uniform with a neat & professional appearance.
  • Frequently Wash Hands for proper food handling
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Education and Experience: 

  • Must be at least 18 years old. 
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Possess a basic knowledge of excellent service standards, guest relations, food, and beverage preparations as well as etiquette.
  • Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
