Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team FOR SATURDAY ONLY FROM 8am to 2pm. The Dental Assistant will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide quality dental care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient care.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures

- Assist the dentist and dental hygienist during procedures

- Take and develop dental x-rays

- Record patient medical history and vital signs

- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as taking impressions and pouring models

- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care

- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment

- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program

- Current CPR certification

- Knowledge of medical records management and electronic health record systems (Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix)

- Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic technique

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

- Ability to work well in a team environment

- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
