Description

All 5’s Construction, a strategic partner of The PENTA Building Group, is seeking Project Engineers to join our team in Las Vegas, NV! An All 5’s Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating, filing, tracking, logging, and communicating information and documentation on a project. The Project Engineer will provide both technical and administrative assistance to the Project Manager and Superintendent as required.To perform this role successfully, the ideal candidate will:

  • Initialize and keep up to date the project document logs for RFIs, Drawings, Submittals, etc.
  • Assume responsibility for coordinating and tracking the distribution and storage of all projects engineering documents, including drawing sets, specifications, sketches, ASIs, permits, etc.
  • Organize, manage, and track the entire submittal/shop drawing review process to ensure that all required submittals are reviewed and approved in a timely matter and will not disrupt the construction schedule.
  • Work with the Project Manager, Project Superintendent, and Subcontractors to submit clear and concise RFIs.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Superintendent to create and maintain the Master Project Schedule.
  • Continually obtain and track required permits and inspections to ensure no disruption to the project schedule.
  • Log, track, and clear NCRs and NOVs in a timely manner and review at weekly staff meetings.
  • Conduct, record, and file weekly safety inspections and assist in subcontractor safety monitoring.
  • Assist in maintaining an excellent relationship with OSHA and be familiar with OSHA regulations.
  • Ensure that all field installations are in accordance with the plans and specifications.
  • Conduct formwork inspections and maintain a pre-pour checklist.
  • Maintain a current and accurate concrete log and file concrete tickets accordingly.
  • Assist the Project Superintendent in collecting and reviewing subcontractor quality control plans.
  • Assist the Project Manager in developing and maintaining the project budget. Develop a thorough understanding of project cost codes, especially for self-performed work.
  • Assist the Superintendent to complete the punch list process.
  • Obtain and turn over to the Client all contractually required closeout submittals from subcontractors and vendors.
  • Participate in the success of the company and protect it from risk factors like incidents, cost overruns, delays, and rework.
  • Develop strong relationships with our clients, client representatives, subcontractors, vendors, and other parties.
  • See the bigger picture but remain detail oriented.
  • Foster communication and teamwork and provide a safe work environment.

We trust that you have:

  • 0-5 years of relevant experience working in the construction industry.
  • Experience working in concrete field labor, or Project Engineer experience for commercial concrete, subcontractor, or self-perform projects is a plus.
  • Degree in Construction Management or a related field, or a combination of concrete experience and education.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
