Holy Name High School - A Chesterton Academy is seeking a full time Latin and Humanities Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. In addition to middle school and high school Latin the teacher may also be responsible for other humanities classes based on interest and proficiency (examples include: history, philosophy, literature, spanish, and theology).
A bachelor's degree in Classics, Literature, History, or a related field is required. Teaching experience of various kinds is also preferred.
Preference will be given to practicing Catholics, but all teachers must take an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, and possess a record of contributing to the mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise.
In addition to their teaching responsibilities, faculty at Chesterton Academy participate in the House system, which is designed to promote character and virtue, and to help students grow in holiness. Faculty members will assist in the House system and participate in spiritual activities in the school, including retreats, group devotionals, and times of prayer.
COMPENSATION: $39,000-$42,000 for first year teachers based on experience.
